Finding a new job can be one of the most stressful things you can do, even if you’ve already got one! It takes time and effort, and only a lucky few have a perfect strike rate with their applications.

Fortunately, as with most things in life, the law of attraction can help. If you’re brand new to the concept, you can find out all about the basics by following that link. You might have heard of it before – you might even be sceptical of what it can do for you – but I can firmly commit to saying that when you want to make something positive happen in your life, it can be a massive help.

That comes down to the fact that whether the law of attraction and indeed manifestation are real, they’ll put you in the frame of mind required to succeed.

Behind every successful law of attraction practitioner is someone with a positive outlook and a clear idea of what they want. The concept also tries to prevent people from ‘wanting’. According to the law of attraction, if you find yourself in a state of wanting something, the energies you commit to the universe will render you continually in that state of wanting. Generally speaking, if you want something, that means you don’t have it. The two go hand in hand.

For example, rich people don’t spend their mental energy wanting to be rich, because they already have money. They might want more, but they focus their efforts on using what they have to make more, and the same kind of principle applies. ‘Want’ is a stronger desire than many give it credit for, but much like regret, it’s a wasted emotion.

So, instead of expending that valuable energy wanting a job, it’s time to use the law of attraction to manifest a job. The good news is it’s easier than you might think. However, if you’ve been looking for a while, or you don’t have the security blanket of already being in employment, it all comes down to mindset.

Negativity breeds negativity unfortunately, and it’s never easy to dramatically change your mindset when life in general seems to have something new to throw at you every day. However, manifesting your dream job is less about where you start, but where you finish.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Manifesting Your Dream Job

Let’s forget about your current situation for the time being and focus on the concept of manifesting a job. These steps apply whether you’re fresh out of education, stuck in a job you don’t like, currently unemployed or in any other unique situation. The steps represent the building blocks of manifesting a job and even if you take nothing else from the concept, they’re the parts you should always keep in mind.

1. Be Clear on the Job You Want

These steps are crucial, but not always easy. The first might be the most difficult of all. When I’ve been on the lookout for jobs, from full-time positions to freelance gigs, I’ve spent more time than seems particularly productive focusing on the search box.

Most job sites start things off by asking you where you’re located, and the keywords you want to use. It’s not always as simple as it seems. Many of the kinds of jobs I’d look for fall under the marketing banner. However, while that incorporates social media, content production and strategy, it can potentially also cover everything from telesales to door-to-door customer acquisition.

Job search sites are getting smarter, but they won’t be able to tell you what you’re best suited for. You might not even know yourself. If you’re drifting from job to job without a plan, it might be worth turning to a career quiz or even a mentor to point you in the right direction.

Most jobs exist all over the world, so you can use tools from the UK’s UCAS or Australia’s Open Colleges to potentially steer you in the right direction.

Don’t forget, of course, that these tools don’t know you, and they’re only as good as the information you provide to them. However, there’s every chance that this could be enough to push you in the right direction.

You might not need a tool. You might know exactly what you want to do next. If you’ve just completed years of study to become a doctor or lawyer, the chances are your past efforts have already dictated your future. The law of attraction can still help, however, as there’s more to a dream job than the job title.

You also want to consider:

  • The location – especially with the increase in remote opportunities
  • The salary – you need to be realistic, but don’t want to undersell yourself, and tools like TotalJobs can help
  • Additional benefits – not all jobs are created equally, and everything from pensions to insurance should factor into your dream job equation

Naturally, this list is far from exhaustive and it’s rare for multiple people to have exactly the same dream job. Sadly, that doesn’t mean that competition will be any less fierce, but using the law of attraction to manifest a job can make all the difference!

2. Ensure Your Mind’s Right

As I’ve already mentioned, sometimes adopting a positive mindset is easier said than done. However, positivity and gratitude are central tenets of the law of attraction. In short, be thankful for what you have and what you’re about to receive, and know that it’s well on its way to being delivered, and you stand a fantastic chance of success.

The mindset element is also why I believe that you don’t need to be convinced by the law of attraction to benefit from its teachings. Think of the most successful people in any field you know well. The chances are that they come across as both positive and grateful in all their dealings. Movie star Dwayne Johnson is a fantastic example. He’s been in the top two when it comes to earnings among movie stars since 2017 at the time of writing and while he’s perhaps best known for his natural charisma, it’s impossible to overlook his positive and thankful nature.

Some say it’s a curated public image. I don’t know The Rock personally, but I’d like to think that he’s a good person who receives good things.

Now, you don’t have to be an action star to make the law of attraction work for you – even if you don’t believe in it. If you’re positive and grateful, doors open on their own. People in general, including recruiters and hiring managers, want to spend more time with nice people.

If you’re on board with the idea of the law of attraction, you’re probably in the right mood already, or at least well on the way to getting there.

Enter every stage of the application process with gratitude. Every time you receive a response, even if it might not be the one you want, express gratitude. That could be the follow-up email following an interview to thank the interviewer for their time, or it could be responding to a rejection email to ask for feedback. Every stage is part of the process and if it feels like it might not have gone your way, remember that the universe is working to arrange your dream job. Believe it or not, if things don’t go as planned, it’s likely that the job in question wasn’t what you were looking for, even if it doesn’t feel that way at the time.

3. Practice Your Manifestations

When you know what you want and your head is in the right place, it’s time to manifest the job itself. Manifesting is flexible, and there are hundreds of different ways to make something happen or introduce it into your life. Vision boards, support manifestation, as do manifestation journals.

However, there are two methods we love here at Widibi that are perfect for new manifesters and the more experienced alike. They’re the 5×55 manifestation method, and its 369 counterpart. These methods are quick, easy and effective, to the point that anyone can do them. Crucially, manifestation doesn’t need to be difficult. Perhaps the most challenging aspect of the concept is consistency. However, once you’ve found a rhythm, your dream job is just the start of what your subconscious mind can potentially bring into your world.

Whether you choose either of those methods, or you already have a favoured methodology in place, if you make the hunt for a new job a priority, it won’t take long at all before it becomes a part of your reality.

How to Manifest a Job Quickly

Not everyone has the opportunity to sit back and wait for their dream career to materialise. Fortunately, the universe works quickly, especially when it has specific instructions. You can manifest a job quickly by adopting a clear focus, almost forcing the mindset and using one of the quicker manifestation methods outlined above.

Whether a new job is the top priority, or you’ve got time to wait for perfection to arrive, the steps outlined above still apply. You still need to decide what you want, adopt the right mindset and ensure you have a strategy for positive affirmations.

If getting a new job is the first thing you think of in the morning, and still plays on your mind last thing at night, then you can give it the attention it deserves.

No matter how you perform your manifestation method of choice, it’s impossible to do it too much. There’s no such thing as too many affirmations. Indeed, going above and beyond can often be helpful. If you’re feeling down, you’ll refocus on the good things coming to you. If you’re distracted, it’ll bring you back to focusing on the important things in life.

Don’t feel like you need to spend all day every day working on your affirmations. Indeed, it’s often better to forget all about what you want the universe to deliver because of that key word again – ‘want’. The more you focus on what you don’t have, even when framed as a desire to make it happen, the harder the universe will have to work to make it a reality.

How Do I Ask the Universe for a Job?

To ask the universe for a job, you simply have to be clear about what you want. The act of placing an order is all it takes to set the wheels in motion. If you choose to follow that up with regular affirmations or other techniques, it’s all gravy.

Crucially, the rules in the law of attraction require you to frame the request as being grateful to the universe for something you already have. Let’s say you want to be a web designer. You could try sending the following out to the universe:

“I’m so grateful to have my dream job as a web designer with a great company that pays well and lets me work from home.”

In just a single sentence, you’ve checked off a great job, fantastic employer, excellent salary and a crucial element of your work-life balance.

Dream Job Affirmation

Don’t overwhelm yourself. Keep it short, sweet and to the point. If you frame it like the example above – with your own criteria, of course – you already have your affirmation ready to go if you decide to try the 5×55 or 369 methods.

How to Manifest a Job – In Summary

Manifesting a job is just like manifesting anything else. If you’re clear in what you want and present the universe with an open, grateful mind, you’ll be well on your way to bringing the job of your dreams into your existence.

Unsurprisingly, it’s easier to manifest a job when you’re patient. However, as such a critical part of most lives, there are plenty of people out there that don’t have time to wait around. Typically, the universe takes as long as it takes, but if you can devote more time to your dreams and desires – the time you’d otherwise spend doing your job – then you have every chance of making things happen at a pace that suits you perfectly.
