Manifesting is permanent, or at least it is for as long as you want it to be.

There are several reasons why someone might ask this question. First, they might want reassurance that something they’re pouring their energies into won’t disappear as soon as they stop trying to manifest it actively. They might be worried that what they want today might not be what they want in the future. They might even be in the process of a quick and easy manifestation, solely there to ‘prove’ to themselves that manifesting works.

Manifesting is permanent, or at least it is for as long as you want it to be.

I’ll go into more detail on each of these concerns in a moment, but it’s vital to point out that the universe – or whatever you refer to the energies that manifest on your behalf as – are always on. Furthermore, they’re always working to bring you what you desire as quickly as possible.

The Positive Side – Keeping What You’ve Manifested

The universe isn’t in the habit of taking away things you’d rather keep. Conversely, it doesn’t hold a delivery log. Once you’ve manifested something, that’s it – it’s the end of the process. Once they’ve seen evidence of manifestation working with their own eyes, many people immediately move on to their next manifestation. They’ve got what they wanted, and they don’t need to exert any more energy on it.

That’s absolutely fine. Just because you’re not active in your affirmations or you’ve taken a break from the 5×55 method, that doesn’t mean you don’t want it anymore, and that’s not a problem for the universe. You can direct your energies elsewhere or take a break altogether. The universe is anything but needy, and you won’t be penalised just because there’s nothing you particularly want to manifest on any given day!

Keep Your Manifestations Through Gratitude

Gratitude is a cornerstone of the law of attraction, manifestation and just about anything else related to the subject. So even if you’re not actively seeking to manifest something new, you shouldn’t let your gratitude for what you have slide.

Once you bring something into your life using the law of attraction, it’s yours to keep for as long as you want it.

You don’t have to make a point of saying “thank you” to the universe daily for every good thing in your life. However, once your manifestations start coming into being, it’s worth making gratitude a habit. Even basic, day to day politeness has you covered. If someone does something for you, thank them. If you do daily affirmations, remember to phrase them with gratitude:

“I am grateful to…”

“I am thankful for…”

And so on.

Remember, you don’t need to be thankful for something specific unless you want to be. For example, if you’ve manifested your dream car, you don’t need to check in with the universe daily to ensure it doesn’t disappear from your driveway!

Actively Making a Manifestation Impermanent

We’ve established that positive manifestations won’t just disappear without warning. However, there comes a time in every law of attraction practitioner’s life when they need to reverse a manifestation.

You’ve manifested your dream two-seater sports car, but you and your partner have just found out you’re pregnant with twins.

You manifested your dream job several years ago, and it’s gone stale – and it’s time to climb the career ladder once more.

When manifesting, be confident, but don't be reckless.

In the sports car’s case, you might want to form an additional manifestation, or you might go all the way with a replacement. For the job, you probably don’t have enough hours in the day for more than one. Most employers don’t look incredibly fondly on moonlighting, even if you do!

You have two choices here. You can actively ‘unmanifest’ something, or you can let the universe take its course. Of course, you can use the law of attraction and manifestation practices to remove someone from your life, so it makes perfect sense that you can remove anything else too.

The manifestation process works by using your positive energies to signal a change you’d like to make. In return, the universe arranges the reality around you to make that happen. Generally speaking, the more that needs to change to make something specific happen, the longer it takes. Again, however, it’s essential to be realistic.

Speeding Up Manifestations Through Action

Let’s go back to the sports car. Be honest with yourself and ask whether you could live without it. That generally means you need alternative transport or don’t plan to drive anywhere any time soon. If you still need transportation, it might not be wise to unmanifest that previous manifestation out of your life. Then, of course, you could sell it, buy something cheaper and set aside anything extra towards a more family-oriented vehicle.

When manifesting, you and the universe are a team.

In doing so, you’ve already made the universe’s life easier because it doesn’t need to go through the process of getting rid of a vehicle and doesn’t need to raise as much cash for the new manifestation. Your dreams have changed, but you’ve taken positive action that will speed up the manifestation process immeasurably.

The job example is slightly trickier. Nobody starved because they didn’t have a sports car. You need to think carefully about something as essential as a job, as losing it could be life or death. Even the most enthusiastic law of attraction practitioners don’t have the confidence to hand in their notice immediately because they know something better is on its way.

Once again, it comes down to being honest with yourself. Can you finance time out of the rat race? Do you have a healthy emergency fund that can cover you for long enough that you’ll find something even if your manifestation is delayed?

Your manifestation will come. When manifesting, you and the universe are a team. So if you do one of the tasks required to make your manifestation happen, that’s one less thing the universe has to do on your behalf.

Nevertheless, when manifesting, be confident, but don’t be reckless.

Is Manifesting Permanent? – In Summary

Manifesting is permanent for as long as you want it to be, and the best part is that there’s no maintenance or upkeep required. Once you bring something into your life using the law of attraction, it’s yours to keep for as long as you want it.

But what if you don’t want it anymore? You still have free will. You could manifest something out of your life or, if it’s a physical object, you could just sell it or give it away. If a previous manifestation stands between you and a new one, the universe will take that into account. It will have no qualms about getting rid of something old to enable the delivery of something new.
